If you truly want to have a "BETTER LIFE" versus a "BITTER LIFE," change is a NECESSITY. If you don't know where to start, here are a few steps that will help you begin your journey the right way:
Step 1: Start Your Day off with Gratefulness at the Forefront from the Moment You Awaken
Don't wait until you've had breakfast; drank your coffee; checked your social sites; went to work or engaged in too many conversations with others before you decide to see the goodness in the fact that you woke up. Understand this "Everyone was not fortunate enough to rise and see a new day and not everyone will see the night fall but, if you are blessed to see a new day - DON'T TAKE IT FOR GRANTED."
Step 2: Speak Life into Your Day before the Day Starts
Pre-Determine in your mind, your heart and your thought process that, "Today is going to be a great day and then, run with it." Strive not to lose sight of this manner of thinking because, it is a part of the very foundation for having a better life.
"What you confess, you possess so, SPEAK LIFE INTO YOUR LIFE and into the lives of the people you meet, greet and love."
Step 3: Let Go of What Happened Yesterday
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery - LIVE IN THE PRESENT. You cannot control what happened yesterday and there is no need to worry about tomorrow. You must be willing to embrace today and Today Only, as if it were your last. No one knows the future; therefore, there is no sense in worrying about it and no one can change the past so, there is not sense in stressing over it. Worry only leads to a bitter, sad, depressed, painful life - You don't need that and YOU DON'T DESERVE THAT. Choose Life while you are yet breathing and able to make that choice for yourself.
Step 4: Strive to Stay Away From Negative Thoughts, People and Situations
You cannot Get Better and live a positive life based on Negative Thoughts and Negative Situations. You cannot fully enjoy the life that you deserve or receive the happiness that you want hanging around angry, bitter, broken people. "You must be very careful, intentional and attentive to the thoughts that you think, the things that you say and the things that you allow other people to speak into your life." Regardless of what many people might say - Everyone does not have your best interest at heart, even if they say that they do.
Step 5: Remember that Your Life is like a Whiteboard - You can Erase it and Start Over at Anytime as long as you are Alive and Breathing
There is no situation too hard for God and nothing that He won't bring you through but, you must be willing to Start Over, clean the Slate, Erase Your Board Minute by Minute if necessary, in order to create the life you were designed to live. At any point and time within your day - YOU HAVE THE POWER TO START OVER, no matter how crazy things may be or might have been. You were blessed with the ability to transform your world with the very thoughts that you think and words that you say. Life can get cluttered this is true but, God gave us an eraser to remove the pictures; the images; the footnotes that leave a nasty taste in our mouths and minds.
"Be ye transformed by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND." Romans 12:2
